Gina

My name is Gina Leiserowitz (Lie-zer-witz). I am a therapist with many years of experience. In my practice I offer a warm, caring, non-judgmental space to work to recover from depression and/or anxiety.

I am currently studying TEAM CBT created by Dr. David Burns, who wrote Feeling Good in 1980 and Feeling Great in  2020. Dr. Burns is an MD and an adjunct professor at Stanford University. I am really excited by the opportunity to learn TEAM CBT and to offer it to you to help you feel better.  If you are depressed or anxious and want a therapy that works well in a shorter period of time you might want to try TEAM CBT.

TEAM CBT requires a commitment to doing the work of therapy such as coming on time each week to your therapy sessions, doing the therapy homework daily (yes there is therapy homework which will help you to recover faster), bringing to therapy the issues and situations you are struggling with, and taking small mood assessments at the beginning and end of each session. It sounds like a lot but it is motivating and fun. 


I highly recommend reading Dr. Burn's book Feeling Great or listening to his podcast Feeling Good on Youtube.
